MBA entrance exams 2026–27
Six national exams cover nearly every reputable B-school in India. Most aspirants take CAT plus one or two backups — here's where each stands right now.
CAT 2026
The gateway to 21 IIMs, FMS, SPJIMR, MDI and 1,000+ B-schools. Three sections (VARC, DILR, QA), 120 minutes, three slots in one day.
XAT 2027
Required for XLRI Jamshedpur; accepted by 150+ participating institutes. Known for its Decision Making section — unique among MBA exams.
NMAT 2026
Candidate-friendly: up to 3 attempts in one window, self-scheduled slots, no negative marking. Primary route to NMIMS Mumbai and 50+ schools.
CMAT 2027
NTA-conducted exam accepted by AICTE-approved MBA/PGDM colleges including JBIMS (via merit lists), GIM Goa and K J Somaiya. CMAT 2026 was held on 25 Jan 2026.
MAT 2026
Held four times a year (Feb, May, Sep, Dec) in paper, computer and internet-based modes. Accepted by 600+ B-schools — the most flexible MBA exam.
IBSAT 2026
Registration opened 1 July 2026 for the 9 ICFAI Business School campuses. No negative marking; CAT/XAT/NMAT/GMAT scores also accepted in lieu.

Engineering entrance exams 2026
The 2026 exam season is done — the action has moved to counselling and seat allotment. If you're targeting 2027, registrations start reopening from October.
JEE Main
Both 2026 sessions complete (Jan & Apr). Over 15.3 lakh candidates appeared; the General qualifying cutoff for JEE Advanced was 93.41 percentile. JoSAA rounds are underway.
BITSAT 2026
Iteration 2 seat allotment released 1 July — allotted candidates must pay and confirm by 8 July. Best of two session scores counts; up to 7 iterations planned.
MHT CET 2026
Now biannual — both attempts done, results declared in June (best-of-two percentile counts). CAP counselling registration for BTech/BPharm seats is open.

Medical & undergraduate entrance exams 2026
NEET UG 2026
The re-examination concluded on 21 June 2026. NTA will publish the provisional answer key, objection window, final key and then results — followed by MCC and state counselling for MBBS/BDS/AYUSH.
CUET UG 2026
Result declared 23 June 2026 after exams from 12 May–7 June. NTA does not run centralised counselling — apply directly to each university (DU's CSAS portal is live).
MHT CET (PCB)
The PCB group of MHT CET covers BPharm and PharmD admissions in Maharashtra. Both attempts' results are out; CAP registration is open.
